These are 2 concepts for J.Crew that ended up being rejected. Mainly because the job needed a simpler solution and they were not ready to make the transition to Flash yet.

But it served its purpose, since I wrote many rationales explaining the concept and the advantages of using Flash over plain HTML in certain areas of the site.... and they ended up using some Flash in their future sites.

 

 

Anyway, the concept was to try to bring the catalogue experience to the Web in a way that wouldn't look to monotonous and at the same time have the ability to cross-sell some products.

Again, the design was clean and some good white space, using the good images they had in the catalogue. Simple rollover states, simple navigation, simple solutions.
