How to create an online experience that would match the feeling of actually playing one of those games under a fantastic platform? How to mimic that online?

We discovered that all of our attempts were doomed to fail. Any gaming experience would be reduced to the old Atari feel in comparison to the real thing. So we decided to stay away from that and instead make a comprehensive and thorough site with as much information as was available at the time.

The design was daring and it borrowed a lot from the typical identity of Nintendo – the eternal fun and smiley Japanese character with bold colours and surprises every step of the way.
